Sorry to hear that John, have you found replacements? or what are you thinking of doing now!!!
I knew that power was an issue. However, I will accept your free jet ski offer to make it right, since you did say that they were rebuildable, and they are not. :D:ernaehrung004: |

That's ok. I went into it with my eyes open. I mean, it's not like I spent upwards of 40k thinking that the engines were fine only to get it home and they pooch.

No one was talking to you or about you, Nancy.
You are the least qualified narcissist in the history of people thinking things are about them. This isn't your thread. A buyer of a boat that is the subject of the thread (not yours) was responding to a seller of the boat which is the subject of the thread(not yours). You should post less until you get some crumb of a clue. My comment to Bill that I was comfortable with my situation compared to how it could have been was a general statement that is free-standing and unrelated to anything you have done or may do. |
Sorry, Sally :D
Just assumed you were talking about my boat. Thanks for keeping us updated on the boat.........seriously:D |

I saw the pics of the 500s still in the boat. 2002s which were rebuilt at about 280 hours I think, with an additional trouble free 150 hours or something. They look good. But I am not sure that the step up to efi from na is worth the offset of the unknown quantity factor on 400 plus hour, 7 season mills (by 2009). The build option would be roughly the same hp with the dart and merlin goodies. On one hand you save labor and pick up efi over na, but pick up a slight question mark about longevity. On the other hand you end up with very fresh mills which would be stout enough to add blowers later if you want and have several rebuilds left in them. |
Decisions decisions.......:drink::drink:

FR, if those 500efi's pass leak down/compression... they'd be a better option for when/if it comes to resale.
