It's back- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Boats...m160249148908&

For a guy who doesn't care if he sells it, he's certainly spending big on Ebay insertion fees.

I was actually hoping he'd taken a bite of a S&W sandwich.

cosmic12 06-10-2008 01:51 PM

I wonder if he is related to Jim Darr:evilb:

Chris Sunkin 06-11-2008 05:07 PM

Probably not...

Jim Darr has no idea that his a$$ has been pounded into the dust. Our little JJ must've decided it's tough enough selling a boat these days without the extra added benefit of your fragile emotional state being broadcast across the performance boating world.

Sick Stinger 06-11-2008 05:46 PM

OK enough of the BS its a pain to read all this crap. SO whats the deal with the boat cut and dry in a simple form. Pros Cons and the other stuff that is just there about the boat. Ive read 3 differant links that are 14 pages long and really havent got anywhere. Stolen not stolen, engines big power or 1000+ plus tired hours, Fiberglass integrity or is there non? Drives about to blow up from the throttle stab or "stolen time" or in decent shape. Whats the deal guys?
-Mike

TexomaPowerboater 06-11-2008 05:55 PM

There was a buyer who inquired as to what I might sell mine for. He also looked at this boat and said it was accurately represented by the seller. Said it was in decent shape. Hope that helps.........wish I could remember the member, maybe he will chime in. I still think its an awesome deal.

BY U BOY 06-11-2008 05:58 PM

Maybe you could contact SteveH her on the board. I think he looked at it and was about to buy it but went with something else.

i would have bought it for close to the asking price had i not changed directions. having owned a 28 apache in the past and knowing how well they are built and how much abuse they can take i feel its a decent buy for someone to get into a great offshore boat and one that is hard to come by and also one you can resale a year from now and probably not lose a dime on. as with any older boat, GET A SURVEY.

what would you be looking to get for yours? I like both of the boats, but yours is well documented and looks to be first class craftsmanship on the resto.

if you dont wish to post on here you can email me @ [email protected]

thanks in advance adam

this is what i posted in the other thread. I dont really want to get too involved with all this b.s but here you go.
I dont have a dog in this fight but its a shame that the boat is not going to be sold because of it. I do not know john but i did go look at the boat with intentions of buying it. The boat is what it is. It isnt perfect but to be honest i believe that for what it could be purchased for would allow the buyer to make it close to that. It isnt a pile of junk as some of you are describing it and besides that how many of these boats are actually for sale? I also talked to the guy who built the motors and they are what john describes them as being. Well thats just my .02 cents Btw i didnt buy the boat because i wanted a real boat so i bought a fountain. BTW I also saw the dyno sheets for the motors and a folder of reciepts where john had made upgrades and performed repairs. I believe that this boat would sell if it didnt have this black cloud following it around:hitfan:

There is were you lost credibility.

WMF 06-13-2008 11:23 PM

Thats nice, you did not buy the boat because you wanted a real boat!!!, what are you related to John, I cant believe you would write such a comment!!!

Chris Sunkin 06-14-2008 06:31 AM

I didn't think this thread could get any better. I was wrong. :)

Wanted a real boat. That's rich.

lake speed 06-14-2008 09:25 AM

sorry guys but if you go back and look at the original post in the original thread that comment was made with tongue in cheek and had a smiley face behind it. it was cut and pasted from the original thread but it didnt copy the smiley. You guys are too uptight about this dude and his boat. As i said earlier i didnt really want to get involved with this bs and now you can see why. IT WAS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you can all go back to bashing john and leave me out of it. Thanks, Eric

John- you may notice that I'm on here under my real name and I'm very easy to find. If you'd care to, that'll be fine by me. :)

Now go back to eating paint chips and fingering your sister.

Now Chris IMO both of you must have either german or finnish blood in you... but you start to sound like a bunch of Russians.
Lip it up please.

This thread ended a month and a half ago. The last post prior to yours was June 14th. You're the guy who chose to resurrect it from the dead- God only knows why.
