The 47 is all but un-manageable and un-affordable for mere mortals. Tough to tow and you need a big truck. Rack storage is going to be just about unavailable everywhere but S. Florida. Either three big engines or two monster engines that will have a daily competition of what it can consume faster- parts or gas. And unless you boat on the Great Lakes or an ocean, the upside is non-existant. On anything but the ocean, ther upside only exists a couple days a year.

But the 47 Apache is, as Jules said in Pulp Fiction...

"...the one that says Bad Motherf.ucker".

Chris, question compared a 46 RR to a 41 Apache even though you are 100% right on with your paragraph on the 47 Apache.

Missed the RR. Not much difference though- although definitely a bit lighter.

Here is a little story-

Two years ago we went on a poker run in the Chesapeake Bay.Over 90 boats and some parts were a little rough, but not bad at all.We were in the Apache and at the lunch stop we over heard some guys that were in a new 46' Cigarette Rough Rider say "how rough it was and that they were all beat-up".
My wife and I and the couple that was with us,just smiled.

There's your sign-

Had a story told to me by a long time Apache owner. He said you never want to own a boat that won't fit in your driveway and that needs a crew to launch. That would be a 47 Apache for me. A 41 would be my limit on what I would want to own/maintain.

i guess lenght isn't everything........................ everything being equal.
