To get to be how YOU guys like a boat... which may be a tad higher than me... maybe not.
How I like a boat, and how I'd currently deal w/ something like this 22 are 2 different things.
BUT, by the time i cleaned it up, and new power... i wouldn't be far from where CMC is asking for his 21, and i've seen his, and its fresh water, f'n nice and done w/ rich sutphen jr, iirc.

Put it this way, the mechanic said it needed a new engine, and said he had a 200evinrude from 2002 he'd sell me for 3500. So now i'm at 7500. How much would it cost to regel the boat? and once you make the hull that nice, the rest has gotta match.
I'd prefer an original in great shape, that can be used.

Like i said, if you can do all the labor yourself, you'd save a ton... but ya'll know that. :D

Btw, i took some pics.
I can email if interested.

Why bother trying to restore it when you can have one already complete

I easily have 10k more invested and you would have a 3.5 year engine

warranty

Hi Stormrider...Thanks so much for having a look at it, not just for myself but for the others that may have been interested as well. As you say, it may be just right for someone willing to get their hands dirty.

Thanks Again

Bruce

Seldom are high quality restored boats available. Why go through the heartburn when you can take advantage of CMC's completed job and ultimately save money?

Stormrider 09-13-2008 07:07 AM

Greg, i would not fully agree with that.
I see plenty of hi quality restored boats available.
Just not many in this size and price range.
CMC's boat is mint.

BTW, this boat will work as is, but it its electricals are shot and the mechanic stated its been f'd w/ so much, that it wouldn't be worth trying to get it right. With new power it'd run just fine.

What about this one? Don't remember if it belongs to someone here or not.

There isn't a whole lot of wiring on these boat unless you have a big stereo.
Outboards are pretty much plug and play with the right harnesses.

I bought a clean hull and deck on a decent trailer. It came with OMC rigging, hynautic steering, hot foot, a "basket case" 225 Evinrude ,and an interior with vinyl that was in shreds..
