That is sad news about the owner passing. As a parent I too would be hard pressed to part with something my son valued and loved so much.
I do have to wonder what the cost would be to get it back in proper shape after sitting for so long. Rebuild engines, drives and trans if they are not seized. Replace all electronics. Replace the cockpit upholstery and probable rotted wood. If the boat has the bilge drain plug installed all that water is possibly causing the stringers and transom to rot. Not to mention that lift is not going to hold all that standing water weight for long.
I was shocked to see so many abandoned boats just outside the channel on my recent visit to Bonita / Ft Myers area. Most were snail boats so I wasn’t to upset. LOL

I boated in that area weekly, it never moved.

The funny thing is someone with deep pockets and no intrest in resale value will buy this boat and rebuild it. Its just unknown until the right buyer comes along and the owners are willing to part with it. This type of boat and project is not for everyone but its a classic and will always be an Apache.

Apache whatever.
Its still a old heavy dog that needs a minimum of a $100 Grand just in machinery to even begin to bring it to what it was if it has not had water sitting in it.
Even if it has not the combination of humidity, rainwater and it has been sitting on that lift less than a 1/4 mile from the Gulf for 10years without moving spells disaster..
You have to Pickle motors down here if your not going to use them for a couple years if you live within a few miles from the Gulf , or their frozen Junk..
If someone gave you the boat and $20t thousand to take it you would be much further ahead buying a nice running twin step Cig with 750s and some XRs that will run triple digits effortlessly .

I see the quality restos Hoo Doo does on here. Unfortunately the only lucrative return on it would be to turn it into a Center console.
This would be a better candidate , wider beam. https://longisland.craigslist.org/bo...270641724.html
