Your probably right. I stopped by there this morning hoping to talk to someone. Looked like plenty of recent activity around the house but no one would come to the door. Big 5th wheel in the side yard with the steps out so I walked over to it but nobody seemed to be around. Good view of the boat from there.
Ironically there’s a fully covered bay boat in the driveway. I got the feeling the Apache has become a monument of sorts.

Bummer, sorry it didn’t work out. Don’t give up, keep trying when you are in the area. Maybe you can convince them to sell.

Since it IS an Apache, maybe send a letter to the owners about how you'd like to restore the classic boat in their sons honor??

Actually was down there and had a quick talk to the owner, he wasn’t much interested in talking and was in a rush but, I asked him to take a look at it but he adamantly said absolutely not.he mentioned it’s a staggered boat that would need to be completely redone top to bottom. He also mentioned that mark mcmanus has a client interested in the boat and said he doesn’t want to be low balled and he knows what he has, he wants 100 grand for the boat and that’s it otherwise it can sit. Supposedly this client is willing to give it to him. It Doesn’t look like he needs the money so maybe he enjoys looking at the boat rotting away 🤷‍♂️
