Craigslist 28

Thought I would post this for those shopping. I don't know anything about the boat. Good to see the values are holding up. http://sarasota.en.craigslist.org/boa/1120805478.html

Nice looking 28, be nice if thier were more pics!!! I like the original paint work!! I do not think he will get 60K for it, maybe 40K right now!!

Gladhe8er 04-15-2009 06:01 PM

I think I'm up to $47K into mine.... With $17K of that being repairs. WMF was up to around $42K........with 2 blown engines. Takes a lot to make these old boats like new.

Forget like new... just takes alot to make them right.
More than most realize when getting in.
Sorry, I digress.

I do like the headdress paint on this one.

I had around 58K into my boat, including what I paid for the boat!! Yes it does take alot to make the older boat run, but if it what you like and enjoy it go for it!! you just have to understand that you will most likely never see the money again:rolleyes:

The paint on that one reminds me of Little Tommy's 36'

the guy who used to own that boat lives in Annapolis he had a problem with that boat so glass work and the boat went cheap

bigboat28 04-21-2009 09:28 AM

How cheap and what was wrong?

I think this 28 was here in west michigan for a little while, maybe a few years ago.

If I remember that boat had a delamination problem I think it went to Art Lillys shop and was fixed the boat was sold a little while later the guy stepped up to a 35 cig

Alot of boats in my area used to have DE Title
It had something to do w/ taxes or insurance.
That may not apply to this 28. It was usually bigger sportfishers you saw it on.

I know, It is because we have no sales Tax in Delaware and alot of people used to register thier boat here with P.O. Boxes, but that has been stopped!! I just thought it was funny that I had a 28 Apache in Delaware and I have a place in Cape Coral, FL:drink:

bigboat28 04-25-2009 09:08 PM
