stillwaters???

price is getting tempting, what is the situation with the #4 drives? has anyone laid eyes on the boat to judge its condition?

baywatch 05-27-2009 07:44 PM

I like it as well... What is the story with #4 drives? I haven't ever seen any in person.

I like the fender holders as well as how roomy the center steer makes the cockpit.

SKRAMER 05-28-2009 08:06 AM

Very Tempting!!!!

runafever 05-28-2009 08:22 AM

#4s are good drives, That should not kill a deal.I talked to the owner this week, nice guy, sounds like he took very good care of the boat,I wish I could sell my boat,I would be all over it,A staggard 41 ft with decent power for 78,000 w/cabin,its a low hr boat also. If someone is In the market, they should check this one out!

Sacred Ground 06-06-2009 11:14 AM

dreamer 06-07-2009 08:27 AM

his boat had bravos, if i rememebr correctly

ar15meister 06-08-2009 11:35 AM

I wonder how much speed you could gain by removing the cabin. Looks like alot of heavy in there...lol.

I like the setup though.

Dont know much about those drives

Panther 06-08-2009 12:24 PM

Although it was re-rigged it's still an 86' hull. #4's are NLA. The age also narrows the list down to cash buyers since you couldn't get a loan. :(

Otherwise it's a nice powerboat and deserves a good home!!

SKRAMER 06-08-2009 12:39 PM

You think it really runs 78mph???

Apache Warrior ran about 75-78 with NA'ed 750 tunnel rams on #3's and a half stagger so I guess it's plausible!

tempted 06-08-2009 08:01 PM

I had an 89 41 (War Party) with the side by side set up & #3's; IMO, unless you're an idiot that doesn't know how to run the thing, the #4's will last - just don't plan on runnin' 1000hp through them and expect them to last in a 5+ foot sea. As far as the full cabin with a short stagger - its likely a great combo; its all about the CG; With that said, I don't recall seeing a full stagger 41 with a full cabin - again, due to it likely moving the CG too far forward. I wouldn't be opposed to a short stagger (easier to work on than the side by side) with a cabin (if you want a cabin). If a cabin isn't of importance - go for it and do the center helm full stagger - no better combo (other than the 47.) Oh yeah, I've run both. Just my two cents worth.

Hope not!!!

Mario's boat was called Heart Racer and was light Carbon Kevlar layup. It did have 502/Littlefield blowers and XR drives. Looks very similar even has the red seat stripe but you enter the cabin on Starboard not Port. Used to be in Michigan I believe. Layout very simlar to Tatonka, one of the few. It was called a 40 for some reason.

poiuy10 09-26-2012 02:07 PM

Thinking about this Apache the other day.... where has this boat been for two/three years ? What kind of condition is it in and where does it run most of the time. Loved this layout; both with partial staggered engines and cockpit. just curious.... would love to see current pictures!
