those pics are disturbing... Very sad indeed. I am no glass man but that boat looks like it's toast. If it was an easy fix seller would have done repairs and sold it rather than selling it like this.

poor boat

the owner probably said that because he was hoping he could fix it and sell it to someone who didnt know the real story. kind of like he tried to do to me with his 28 that had apparently been sunk and damaged to the point it shouldnt have been on the water, according the the survey I paid for which I would be happy to send anyone looking at his 28 if he is still trying to sell it. No sense 2 people throwing money away.

I learned alot about trusting peoples word from this guy.

Hard to tell the damage suffered to the hull. If its mostly limited to the hull I wonder if the deck mold is still floating around?

Keep in mind plenty of raceboats have been damage, damn near split in half, and are out racing a couple weeks later. A talented glassguy could probably save it, IF they wanted to take on quite a project.

Or the insurance had to be settled before the OSO rumor mill got started with a whole bottle of staring fluid? ;)

I'd say you hit the nail on the head there!! Still so sad to see that was a very cool boat.

Same here. My wife always says the boat comes first with me and that her and the kid are a distant second.

That's Funny, Jodie says the same thing about me!

Although, yesterday I asked my daugther if she would like to go to the water park or on the boat. She choose waterpark...no boating for me this weekend. :(

Well, if anyone does feel like they want to resurrect this boat, we'd be willing to look at doing the project at the Active Thunder factory in FL. If needed, we can give Bobby a call as well.

delsol 08-26-2010 11:09 AM

It would be interesting if anyone that knows a thing or two has inspected the structure to see how bad it really is...?

BattleCry 08-26-2010 03:53 PM

Take it to Guardado Marine and have it fixed. I'm sure they can do it. They have no problem with torn up race boats.

10 months later the truth is out, major bummer on the boat as it was a sweet ride for sure, love the blue. Greg I think you need another project, it is a V bottom.

tizbad4 08-31-2010 09:29 AM

No dont think so. The only thing I need is a year off. But thanks for thinking of me buddy. LOL
