That's one custom boat right there! Wow, the attention to detail is amazing! I like that they used the powder coated accessories, too.

I don't see how you could get more custom than Elias's Apache. :eek: :drink: Does anybody know what it was worth new? I'm going to guess $1.5M-$2M.

The boat was NOT a new built. Due to the fact the everything was replaced, and the deck was taken of they modeled it as a new boat with new Hin numbers. IMO I like the paint designed it had before. One thing about how it now it's very detailed. I see this boat A LOT as Elias lives in the canal next to mine. I know he's opened to offers NO where near what he was asking for it 2 yrs ago along with all his other toys

Beautiful build but lots of faster boats out there for same money. Buyer has to really love Apaches!

I believe the hull is new. Just the deck was reused. Elias of course, would certainly know. But, I do not know him personally (to pose the question).

Elias presents himself as an intellegent, articulate man. He really gets deeply involved in the project. I enjoyed the comment "The 47 Apache is not the fastest powerboat out there, but it will probably be the fastest in 7' to 8' seas". That is one of Apache Powerboats strong points, a couple of others being build quality and safety.

I believe even in the video it states the hull was put back into the mold, not a new hull though. A lot of times they put boats back into the mold because it's easier to replace all the stringers and bulkheads, its the easiest way to keep the boat straight.

Or, when there are so many changes being made (because of the extreme custom nature of the build) a new hull is deemed the more prudent path to follow. It seems to be an interesting point pertaining to "Spirit of Apache"

You can run one of those 47's through anything. They are built and ride like a tank! If I'm correct, there was an ad with an apache in stormy weather offshore.

The 50' Heritage just doesn't look like an Apache. Elias's boat does, even with all the goodies Capt. Joe put on it. To me that's the ultimate Apache, one that any Apache lover would be proud to own.

WOW...............so that's what Elias was up to after he sold the race car. That boat is just unreal............amazing detail and lots of thought put into it.

I used to race in the same series that Elias did and he always had THE BEST car and equipment at the track for sure. He was very succesful also..........pretty sure he won the championships in 2 completely different racing series and different classes during the same season with the same car. One of the coolest racing related stories that me and a friend still laugh about involves Elias off the track. We where at the year end NSCA awards banquet held in Indy during the PRI show. All the class champions where being called up to the podium to accept thier awards and give a speech. Everyone was doing the usual routine...............thanking every person and every manufacturer that they'd ever met for the help and support in winning the championship. All probably well deserved but also very boring after the first few speeches. Elias gets called up and I'm paraphrasing but basically he says.....................

"You know who I'd like to thank? I'll thank myself and my crew chief for this championship. Nobody helped us do this, I spent all the money, we drove the truck and trailer to every race ourselves, we did all the work, and we made all the right decisions so I thank us"

................and then he walks off the stage with his trophy! He probably said a bit more but that was pretty much the message. The place was silent until the MC got back up there and started stuttering and probably having second thoughts while thanking Elias for his acceptance speech! We had a bunch of drinks in us and thought this was pretty much the best thing we'd ever seen. :ernaehrung004:

He was a well known drag racer and I had heard that he owned a marina in the Keys somewhere but hadn't heard a thing about him since he stopped racing. It was a suprise to see him when that 47 Apache video started. VERY COOL :drink:

Steve, My boat is titled as a 2006 47 Apache Tomahawk. I did by one of the last 47 built in 1991 called Running Brave. After owning it a year, I did take it back to Mark McManus Apache facility on the west coast of Florida. To do quite a few changes. When he started taking the boat apart, he found a lot of issues with the stinger system and integrity to the hull that will not handle the 3900 hp I wanted to put in it. So after taking the boat completely apart, by removing the old engines and drives and interior, and fuel tank is when he saw the stringers that where bad, so he removed the old cap, which is the top side part of the boat.. And then was left with just a shell. So he grabbed my shell and put it in the mold, that he still has of the 47 original Apache. And that's when we decided to go ahead and build a complete new boat and update the design of the stringer system and cockpit and new top cap design to go with the new times. So my 47 Apache is the first 47 built new in 2006 since 1991. My stringer have a new design to fit the bigger and stronger engines, along with a new top cap design allowing a lot bigger dash board. New design transom to fit the new # 6 dry sump drive. But to answer your question and re assure you what my boat is and legally checked by the coast guard. Is a 2006 47 Apache Tomahawk. I have documentation that every single part and items that was made and put on my boat was brand new. I spent over 2 years building this boat and over 1.2 million dollars. I just don't use the boat much and my kids are still too small to enjoy my Apache. And Is the only reason I am selling it. Please let me know if you are interested in making a deal and coming to see it in person. You will not be disappointed. Thank you. if i hit the mega millions i would have a hard time deciding either the apache or HELIOS roughrider... but hey with that kind of money why not have both lol
