Apache 41 HP and speed?
 

I’m curious about the amount of HP it takes to push an Apache 41 to 80 MPH. I personally love the looks of this rough water boat!

If it has a cabin, it will take at least 750 to 800h.p. each.
But you won't spill anything doing it

Like Mr.Cig said, It'll take 800's to get a pleasure version into the 80's. Probably 750's to get a six-pack into the 80's. Then you have the drives, #3's or #5's are faster than the old #6's as there is not as much parasitic HP loss in the smaller drives. But, hey if you got 6's you can run MORE HP :D . If your looking I've got a 41 pleasure for sale with 800+ HP and #3's.

With Twin 800's I was running 84 MPH. The New engines come off the Dyno the end of next week. Should be around 1000 HP. Looking for Mid 90's. Full Cabin 41 with Single Step.

Medicine Man-why are you selling the 47. Such a great Boat one of the best !:D

I just can't justify have that boat and only using 4 times a year. I have the 41 up hear and use it all the time. So I thought I would sell the 47 and use the 41 and if I missed the 47 I'll sell it and by another 47. BTW the 47 has sold and is in Chicago and I took a 41 on trade that I NEED to sell so if anyone wants a 41 pleasure w/800+hp, I have one for sale. It should be on the board sometime this week.

Sgrady, That 47' the Medicine Man just sold that went to Chicago is the one that I think is going to Bruce Wolff's shop for the engine upgrading. Sounds like an awesome boat.

It is a great boat, I seen Robert at the Key West Poker run in 2000 and he gave me a quick tour. The 41 he took on trade was there as well and is a great boat as well. "Nice Video" on both that year.
