It is up to personnal preference but i think the boat is pretty clean as it sits -- some detailing and it would be a 9/10.

don't know anything about the drivetrain other than it was siad to be in good running condition...

read snakedances thread though about the dealer :-0

I guess they're worth that much for a bottom feeder but it's worth much more than $58K IMHO.

What you say is true...How much is anything worth?...It's worth what the last one sold for.

The bottom of the market is in free fall and especially with boats...there is no bottom in site. Cash is king because only a select few financial institutions want to hold paper on any kind of a boat.
Take a look at National Liquidators docks and warehouses. They will tell you that they have more Sea Ray and Formula inventory than all of the East Coast dealers combined.

I walked into National's Ft. Lauderdale office last week and 90% of every thing on their board was Chase, Wachovia, etc. The manager told me that with gasoline and diesel prices jumping like they are that they are getting ready for a new round of re-pos...the boat is the first thing people quit paying for when things get tough...just the nature of things.

Hopefully this latest round of fuel cost insanity is temporary.

Very sad state of affairs.

Not necessarily true. Buying a boat a repo/whole-sale pricing is very different than selling for retail. My last boat I purchased for $16K wholesale and sold it for $24K 6 yrs later. Not a bad profit after running it for a couple hundred hours in 6 yrs???

It sounds like this 36' may be in rough shape so maybe that's what it's really worth? However, I've never seen the boat so who really knows.
