A must watch video for all APACHE owners
 

In 1990 OPT Key West Finals my father ran his 47' Apache with 3 mild motors (only 800hp each) along with two #5 drives & one #3 drive against all the big 50' Cats. Most of the cats ran 4 motors totaling 4000hp or so. Out of 15 boats we came in 2nd.


Lucky Strike was Ben's sister ship boat to his 47'. Boat was rigged by none other than Bobby Moore. Other Apache were in the race with much more hp but they didn't run as well as Lucky Strike did.


Watch when all the boats go into turn 1.


Lucky Strike comes out of nowhere.


We then ran on the outside after turn 1 because the water was much rougher. The announcers thought we were off course but we were not.
