WARPAINT 05-29-2002 01:13 PM

IKE,NOT TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT BUT GO TO GENERAL DISCUSSION,LOTO PICS !!!!!!I THINK IM GOING TO GET A RADAR ARCH FOR MY 28 APACHE!!!!!:D

Ike 05-29-2002 02:29 PM

Hey John, I have never liked arches until I saw that, very nice. I can install one on your boat while it is here.:D

Tonto 05-29-2002 10:27 PM

Ike
Did you get in touch with Pauly about the covers for your boat? I'm not sure of anyone that has a set of race hatches, but my source is out of town right now. You could also call Pauly on that one too, he is very knowledgable on the APACHE stuff that is floating around. If you know a good glass guy you are wecome to make a copy of my hatches.
Robert

Thanks Robert, I did talk to Pauly and he is going to get me a picture and talk to the guy about the $. I'll talk to Pauly about the hatches also and I may take you up on your offer. Had a great weekend on the 41 I have never driven or even rode in a 41 before I got to the ramp on friday so it was a learning experence but it went well, I put about 200 miles on it and it ran strong, a whole different deal then the 28.:)

hatches

Ike, my race hatches are off RIGHT NOW., sitting in the warehouse if you want to figure out how to get up here and splash them. Was Pauly an employee at Apache at one time? I thought I read that there was someone that used to rig the 41's and 47's. I would love talk with the mystery rigger if anyone knows.

rockstrmkr 06-05-2002 12:32 PM

DanL -
Happy to oblige...
The mystery rigger you are looking for(the guy that actually did ALL the real work) is Timmy Moran.
e-mail me at [email protected] , and I'll give you his contact info.
He is a nice guy, and brilliant at what he does.

Best,

Hans

DanL 06-11-2002 10:49 AM

hey Hans, your email didn't work for me. Dan

rockstrmkr 06-11-2002 11:15 AM

Hi Dan -

That's not good !??!

I'm e-mailing you my number right now..
Call me and I'll hook you up !!
all the best,
Hans

DanL 06-11-2002 08:53 PM

and you did

Thanks big time. It's the little things ya know. Your guy was great. All questions answered. Thanks again and if we go in at Haverstraw this weekend, please come out for a ride. Reach out for me Thursday or Friday. Take care.

rockstrmkr 06-12-2002 10:18 AM

Dan-

Happy to hear that talking to Timmy was helpful. He really is an incredibly talented guy...not to mention he knows the x-dimension
for just about every 41 and 47 ever made !
If you need access to the guy that made the interiors, or the guy that built them and did the quality control for Ben and Mark, let me know...They are only phone calls away, and more than happy to help out.
More than anything, these guys are proud that their hard work and attention to detail has stood the test of time.

I just found out that I'll have to be in the studio on Saturday, so I won't be able to come out for a ride this weekend....
Raincheck?????

all the best,
Hans

DirtyMoney 02-11-2008 05:59 PM

Whats a set worth? I have the molds for them.

priceb 02-11-2008 09:49 PM

$1.00 :drink:

priceb 02-11-2008 09:50 PM

Hi rbr,

In all honesty I have no idea. What is the best price you can build me a set for in fiberglass. The ones from apache are kevlar/carbon

DirtyMoney 02-12-2008 05:21 PM

Are they for a top gun? What length do you want them becuse the mold is for full stagger hatches.

priceb 02-12-2008 08:19 PM

My top gun has side by side engine set up, but I am actually after the staggered hatches, just think they look cooler.

Would you have the measurements by any chance? mainly the length.

Thanks.

DirtyMoney 02-12-2008 08:53 PM

8 ft but can be shortened

priceb 02-12-2008 08:57 PM

HI Rbr,

Can you please p.m me your email address?

Also, is that an exact 8 ft?

priceb 02-19-2008 06:46 AM

Beau is worth waiting for. Solid guy. Glassdave also does this work. I can't imagine you couldn't get them done more affordably around home. The freight would be horrific. I bought a vintage motorcycle engine in New Zealand and the freight was $600.

There's no magic to these things. They're just flat with some angles here & there and a lip on the bottom. I can get you detailed pics of the one's on my Cig if it would help you at all.

DirtyMoney 02-19-2008 04:30 PM

I am still waiting for my guys (Joker) to get their new shop situated and can get some figures for you but yes they are pretty basic. I would make a set out of some 3/4" nidacore and then glass over it for added strength. Maybe put a couple stringers inthem so you can still walk on them.
