Attention Apache historians how many pleasure 41Apache cats were built and were the all built by Ben Kramer?

ironhead 09-27-2011 08:25 PM

baised on my serial number 3 or 8 i can only place chris lotomski, alan fiengolds and mine as pleasure boats as for race boats im thinking 4 -kramers, wild kat, liebels, and ??? brains a little fuzzy the 80s were a great time

I believe there were only 8 total built I could be wrong but I am pretty close on the number....

4 race boats and 4 pleasure.....or it might be 5 race and 3 pleasure!!

delsol 03-10-2012 03:37 PM

the sister to Tysons is close to me -- i believe they are both Maximum Thunder cats built out of the Apache molds, -- there is a thread about in here somewhere.

It was the one that was just for sale in the Apache section in the fall with Sterling 950's and Arneson #8's.

sean stinson 03-10-2012 04:46 PM

I believe there were some patrol boats built on the Apache Cat platform

I think only 3 were built by Maximum Thunder:

If I remember it correctly those were mentioned in a Halter Marine brochure but shown was a pic of an Apache raceboat. Do you have a picture of one of those patrol boats? :drool1:

DirtyMoney 03-11-2012 10:01 AM

I think there is also a blue and white Maximum Thunder

95 to 98 mph on a gps with 2-800 hp, 3 to 4 ' waves and you can dring a soda ---17000 lbs, mine is a TANK and the kids love it. 105 and the nose gets a little light but after the de-tune to run on 89 octane those days are over its a old heavy 25 year old tank that turns heads more than a 500k boat

302Sport 05-01-2013 08:55 PM

Do you think with 950's it would cruise at 80??

Nice olli ! I didn't think there were any pics of my boat out there. Nice to see it. Mine was actually before Maximum got the molds. Everything in the paperwork has Bobby O on it and even the seats are embroidered Thunder Powerboats. According to the original owner it was his daughters paint scheme even had pics of similar flames they sketched off of, so this is probably a pic of the boat I have. I even have the Summit racing page he picked the hood scoops from for the boat. Everything parts and price wise is well documented except a wiring diagram. I am going to have to cad up one of them as I go.
