Apache history??

Howdy folks - I'm trying to narrow down the list for the "next" boat. I'm thinking a traditional offshore-styled deep-v in the 28-31 range - by that I mean a true 28 feet, not a 26 with 2 feet of swim platform.

The boat will almost certainly be used; that way, I actually have some money left for things like poker runs, insurance, and gas. I've been looking at Pantera, AT, Sonic, Powerplay, possibly an older Cig. Apache seems to be another possibility, but I don't know much about the company. Heard that it changed hands a few times? Maybe some years are better than others?

Can anyone out there fill in a little history?

Thx!

just buy the 28. Its a brick ****house. Everything out there may be 2-3 mph faster for the money, but!!!!! When you hit the ramp/dock/waterfront/bar/lounge/raftup in an Apache, you might as well have shown up at Wendys in a 70 Chevelle 454 convertible with Bob Tanners wife!!! Just kidding Tanner, she wanted me, but I resisted.

Where were we?
who is nobody!!
I'm re-gluing the headliner frame in the cabin of the 41. McManus ain't exactly my favorite person right now. Talk about saving a few gallons of resin. But...this stabbin cabin in the 41 pleasure does have its uses. The cooler holds 24 cold ones and 3 bottles of wine and 2 bags of ice. Yeah, bob, I know, you make your ice on the SeaRay, but, I've never had a Kamikazee on the rocks with Lanier ice. How does that compare to Jello shots at the Hogs Breadth?

Tonto 06-20-2002 09:45 PM

I didn't know that they Jello shots at Hogs Breath :p . I've never made Kamakazee shots, usually Bacadi frozen drinks for the ladies. Yeah I know..... there is a lot of weight in that cabin  . Working on my MYCO for the Savanah run in two weeks so your not the only one doing a little service work. It'll all be worth it though when your out there, offshore, flying off those four footers and knowing that the boat under your feet ain't gonna come apart on you :D . Have a great weekend.
Robert
