I loved how it sounded with the Merc 1000's and y pipe exhaust. I have lake x sheets somewhere from Pete the original owner showing 108.

DrGaryDC 10-09-2012 12:19 PM

Was running 93-95 on gps with the n/a motors. 17 x 30 3 blade Hoss props turning 6200 -6400. Needed larger props, but I know I was going to supercharge and change drives, so money wasn't wasted on larger props. :evilb:

Erik, i thought your hull was less then 11K ? star chaser was the lightest? when where those numbers put up?

DrGaryDC 10-11-2012 01:32 PM

Erik, in your one video, it shows your boat running approx 99-100mph at 6000rpms. Where do you pick up the additional 10mph, thanks
Gary

NICE, I'm sure it DOSEN'T have a full cabin, AIR, ****TER, SHOWER, SINK, PS what's the compression on those motors?

14 apache 10-11-2012 05:24 PM

Long island sound those numbers were from very calm water that day. Boat weight 9600lbs 3 people600lbs 100 gallons fuel another 600lbs, cooler ice anchor etc. Engines are 10 to 1. Look real close at the speedo you will see over 100mph in the video. MPH is in trim and safety is in trim, This boat will stand up on waves when its loose.:daz: Youtube Star Chaser NPBA 7.58min in on the 12min video look at speedo

DrGaryDC 10-12-2012 08:05 AM

Thanks Erik. We saw a significant increase going from a 4 blade to a 3 blade. Im assuming since we are still using SSM 3's

Thanks! Good seeing you yesterday.

It's only taken me 7 yrs and a lot of blood sweat and tears but I'm really happy with it. The cylinder head upgrade was a big improvement!
