41 Transom
Why do the 41's have two different transoms, is there a difference or no, where the transom meets the deck.

The angle of the transom was causing the u-joints to fail to soon from positive trim. The later ones have a notch at the top of the transom.

Hi, TURBO JET
The original Aronow mold had a 17 degree transom, which proved a bit excessive for the trim rams to handle. A mold insert reducing it to the industry standard 12 degree was made. When...? My brain says after hull #11, but I'm not really sure why it says that, so please regard that as an OSO truth only. Merry Xdim. and a Happy New...etc... :-)) |
