What year did first apache cat race?
 

I know this boat raced in 1986 with three man cockpit and mercury stern drives, but when did it race with arnesons and two man cockpit? Charlie hope you don't mind me using your picture. If you do let me know and I will take it down.

I think there might be information on the year in the Legend of Apache video from Big Seas. I don't know if it was the first year but Bob Saccenti suffered a basal skull fracture when the Apache Cat stuffed in the Great Lakes.

it must be a picture from 1985 because it was powered by Lamborghini you can see the bull on either side of the cockpit (i never noticed it before)...I wondered if it ever race in this configuration or was it just tested...

Looked like Ben was in the groove powerboat wise with the Cat hull, Lambo power, incredible 41' deep V, my personal favorite the 47' deep V. Quite a stable going.

Anyone notice no water coming out one a set of the pipes?
