cig92 02-14-2017 07:22 PM

Hasn't it been said before that boat was laid up real light?

Nykamp 02-15-2017 04:34 AM

It is Very light, when I walked across the deck it felt like I was going to fall thru. It's a great boat, Denise had TNT do the 5 to 6 swap.

Great boat!

CIG3 02-15-2017 10:12 AM

We raced against them back in the day (Rascal). She may be light but she handles the rough stuff like a champ.

cig92 02-15-2017 10:18 AM

The deck had no coring (wood) in it. The boat was front end light. It may have been supported later on , dk. I heard 10,500 lbs. None of the early 41's had wood, late 87, 88 is when they added the extra support. If you look at the early ones you will see they crack across the deck from side to side

I tried to buy predator from Ed Toth and missed it by two weeks years ago and the guy that bought it didn't do anything with it like I knew he wouldn't and I had already bought war party when it went back up for sale. Really would like to have it now.

Your engines in that boat would be screamer!

Well, I know a heck of a mechanic up your way that could help you tweak it the way you want it now. :D
He has experience working on your boats even.

The boat has the same basic lay up as Star Chaser only reason the deck is so flimsy is it is missing the top of the bulkheads they only go half way up the sides on 2 or 3 so you have a big span with nothing.
As for the speed it should hunt 100mph with 900hp with the right set up crash boxes and dry sump 6s. I was under the deck on it hunted around awhile ago.

Do any of the 41s have core in the deck? I do not think so.
