Yes this is 100% true. Not a rumor. I spoke to Steve myself.
Also from what I heard The Delray place is closed down. Did anyone notice the lack of advertising in this months Powerboat mag? I heard that the wood plug for the 41 Warpath failed miserably and Thad & the 2 steves all parted ways. |
Does that mean the company is officially kaput?
|
I think so. Call there and see if anyone answers the phone.

I spoke to Steve Wilson, not Koss.
I did not say you had a problem with Thad. As per Wilson, you guys are no longer there. I also heard that all operations are at a stand still at Apache. What is it that I am lying about? Do you and Wilson still work there? |

All I did is relay info that I heard. If I am wrong, so be it. Good Luck |
Steve !!!!!!!!!!! Your back !!!!!! Whats the new name of the company now ??? I haven't heard.
|
This is really amazing! By the time somebody does get around to building a new Apache who will buy it?
Aaron Spelling should monitor this board. This could be a series. There will NEVER be another Apache! Anything else is a new design. I agree with the member who asked how the new Apache people can show the old Apache as part of thier "HISTORY". Come on, if it is a new boat with the same name build it. Let the people decide! |
Carl how are you doing Buddy ?? Anyway safe Boating..
Vett: No not true Digitized the original 41 Warpath and made a straight one. Simple.. |
Does it have steps ????
|
Carl No the Mold has a straight Bottom .
|
Then why does the drawing at the website show steps in the hull ????
|

Rich How have you been ?? I only do contract work never did work as an Employee ..I usually Build Cats.
Carl the Picture is the T-4 which is a custom one-off hand built boat with a very special vented bottom, The Mold is Straight and a insert can be developed if the customer requests something different. Best Regards |
So the "NEW" Apache(stand-by for name change) is just a 41 with a light lay-up ????
|
Steve 1, when do you expect the first 'new' 41 to be completed? Where will it be unveiled? I saw pictures of engines being delivered to the shop. What HP are those engines? Are they slated for the first boat? What speeds do you expect to see?
|
:D Just goes to show.......you can take the boy out of the trailer park but you cant take the trailer park out of the boy!Welcome back Super Steve.

Another load of CRAP.
|
Carl:
Not just any 41 The Strakes on this one are right and the bottom is straight.. The weight I do not know !as I have not yet been asked to bid the on Layup of the Molded boats.. |
Miller:
I was Building the T-4 It has a new vented bottom Design with a lot of safety built into it. Per Example the Lift strips/strikes float/run across the vents uninterrupted !! It will track like on rails and there are three in the aft section per side. Running dead straight to the front (the way they should) 1 Main vent and two st udder that dampen when turning.. The finished projected weight wet is around #7500 and there is a Ballast tank in the bow if needed. Horsepower is 2500 with dry 6's Should run decent :D |

Miller here is a picture (I have many of this) There was a lexan window that was across the vent and we infused the entire strake one shot..The plastic "Window cull/plate was removed after but allowed me to monitor resin growth from the Bottom..Cool project all SP systems. Had to steal some technology from my Cats for this job.
The glass schedule is secret. |
Steve, I dont know what your building(the strakes and bottom are just fine on my boat), but from what I have read so far it ain't an Apache. Good luck to you. Let us know when Thad has to change the name of the company. There can be only one ............. :p

Carl Take Care and Safe Boating.

I heard that there was a problem with the CNC'd bottom. The math was wrong and the plug was not as desired?
Not stirring the pot, just curious about the progress. |
Bryan There were some corrections made to the Plug ..And the pictures are around somewhere I will try to get them..
|
2500 HP 7500 lbs ???
Sounds like a 140 + MPH death trap. Good luck insuring that thing. Sounds like it will handle the rough stuff great!!:p |
Steve, that's pretty cool. Love to see more pictures, even I don't fully understand everything I'm looking at. It still looks interesting. Good luck with the project.
By the way, since you aren't laying up the mold boats, who is? When will the first one pop from the mold? |
Miller I will bring out more pictures of the bottom system.and spend some time on the details.
|
