Re: Waiting for my War Party
Is Kageman a pleasure setup or a poker run/race nothing cabin?

Re: Waiting for my War Party
Frank, Dont want to have to embarass you in the cig now ya know.
Im trying to let you run out front there and have the glory bud. LOL Actually I got an email back from the owner of Kageman I would be MURDERED if I repainted this boat by board members though. J |
Re: Waiting for my War Party
I have always been curious ... what is the background/meaning behind Kageman? Very nice clean boat! Graphics are unique - would like to see this boat up close and in person someday.

Re: Waiting for my War Party
IMO
Its just a well balanced pleasure cabin blown 41 as far as special??? Other than it being an apache I dont think it would be classified as anything special. It looks great though and im sure not TOO many 41's had 6's on it. The trailer is a high dollar item as well. Looks very well maintained and very well kept. Bet it runs its butt off too. Dont know any history on it, where it came from, who was the first owner. J |

Re: Waiting for my War Party
Hello guys,
Kageman here. I am a stainless steel fabricator and one of the primary product lines I manufacture is animal cages and equipment for the veterinary market. Chances are if you have a pet they have been in or on our equipment at your local veterinarian's office. Check out my web site on our products www.suburbansurgical.com , anyway that is where I got the name, basically I make and sell animal cages. As for the history on my 41 Apache, it was originally named "bushwacker", I spoke with McManus quite a few times when I was redoing the boat, he really knows more about it than I do and would be a good person to speak with regarding it's original owner and history. I do know that it is an original #6 boat which was one of the criteria that an Apache had to have when I was looking for one. I purchased the boat from Randy Sweers who purchased the boat from an auction, apparently it was reposessed by the bank from the current owner at that time. It had only one motor and tranny at the time. I had the paint and custom engine hatches done by Don Rossi (Trick Paint), got a pair of 800SC,s and Randy Sweeres had Chief install the intercoolers. New huber 1500 trannys, Marine Drive Services rebuilt the drives and rams with all new parts. Then I took the boat back to Chicago to complete the rerigging and restoration on the boat, it took about a year and a half. I did a lot more on the boat than what I have listed as I do not want to post a novel here. If you are interested in the boat and have any questions feel free to call me directly at 847-376-0262 (cell) anytime. I continue to look at the 41's available out there and my boat definitely is in far better shape than what is typically available, it has always been a pleasure set up. Jason, I will be e-mailing you a more detailed list on the boat tomorrow. |
