I seen this boat for sale in Jacksonville. Any ideas where it is? I like the boat but the deal was a pain to deal with. |
Check with OSO member MonsterDave . He was looking at the boat and i believe he passed on it. I'd PM him for the details. I think the boat lived around Orange Beach, Alabama for a while but do not know the owner.
Good luck! Jim |
Thanks for bringing this back up, Still look'n for one. Someday I'll find it in the mean time great thread.

no problem. Are you looking for an inboard or outboard? I would like to have an inboard myself. |

Hey JnT did you get to run your scout yet? Mine is a blast to drive, it accelerates like you would not believe and I just cannot believe how well it rides in the rough!!! Still getting used to the outboard though.
|
Not yet.
Got a few loose ends to tie up and need some time off from work! :) |
Here are a couple pics of my 21 I just finished.

Apache727: Looks great!! I saw your first pic and I was like...I have been there a million times!!
We will have to plan to meet at shell sometime so we can hang. Would love to check your boat out. |
Since I've only seen 2 Apache CCs my whole life I'm pretty sure I saw your boat at the Sanbar in TV 2 Sundays ago. Looked really good!!
J That's a really good pic of that Cig |
Apache727, what year is your scout. Is the transom noched, how much setback are you running? Thanks, Trying to see if i can run my scout without a large setback.
|
hey mine is a 1991. I bought it with a 25" 200merc and with no set back and it ran fine. I put a 10" jackplate on it with the 300 and in the near future I want to go with a 9" bracket and 4" jackplate
|
I have a 2001 300x on mine with a 22" setback and was thinking about changing to less of a setback. My transom is not notched and i believe my motor is a 20".
|
Yeah that motor should be a 20" What do you have a 22" bracket?? Why don't you like it?
|
Apache727: Yes I was tied up at the marina for a while. One of the battery's died so thank god there was a hardware shop in the strip mall so I could pick another one up.
Also met a guy that was pulling in with a 38ft center console. He noticed the lines on my boat and came over. Turns out he converted his to a center console and put two monster Yanmar's in. He said he cruises at 50 knots and 10mpg?!?!?!!!! He keeps it at TV marina. He runs a fishing charter. I was a little confused because I didn't think Apache made a 38 hull. He might of ment 36 but anyways it was bada**!! Hope to see you out sometime. |
Well that's good. That's nice to know that there is one by the water open on Sunday. What's the name of that diesel CC? Does it say Apache on it? I'd like to see that. Taking mine out tomorrow in the bay I'm sure I'll see you out soon
|
Where in the bay are you going. Our boat is on a lift in Shore Acres. Maybe I could head out for a few hours to check your boat out.
Going anywhere specific? I found a mini shell island on this side of the bay. Was cruising back behind weedon island and there was a sandbar with like 40 boats tied up. You ever been there? Saves me a ton of gas instead of going all the way to shell.. Justin |
I keep mine at work and trailer it to jungle prada usually... Was going to put in at Demens landing tomorrow morning and try to find Gibsonton FL for "Spencer's Boats, bikes. babes and bbq bash" Its on the Alafia river.
I heard about that place. I have a lot of buddies that live over in the Acres that go out there. I haven't made it out there yet |
I understand that with the setback it runs faster but without it is more stable but not as fast. Plus it will fit in my garage much better:D
|
We ran the boat!!!!!!

After almost 4 years we finally wet the 87 Scout. Dam what a fine boat. Wind was 25-35 and we had a nice chop to play with.
I was nervous all the way til I opened her up to run. The boat performed flawlessly! She is a solid boat from 87 that has not seen water in 12 years. I think she liked it! I know we had a blast! Mr Saccentti you ROCK! Jim and Tammy |
Congrats Jim and Tammy, boats looks great and it's amazing how well they ride and handle the chop, nice boat. Ike
|
Looks great in the water Jim!
|
Congratulations!
|
Looking good Jim glad you kept up with the project Paul
|
JNT,
Glad to see you got it together |
Looks great, it made me want to take mine out the garage and go for a ride!
|
Thanks so much for all the support and compliments! Especially the guys with the big Apache's. :)
We have had a blast with the boat and have had zero issues so far. Best speed has been 59.7 GPS with full fuel tank and a lot of food and drinks, the dog, and all the neccesary gear for a family outing. We are running a 25 inch shaft motor and I believe the prop is too deep for top speed. Maybe this winter I'll buy a jack plate and raise the motor 3-4 inches and see what it does. For now I'm just going to run it and enjoy the boat. Thanks again for the encouragement, advice, and resources that the OSO Apache Tribe has bestowed on us. Jim |
