Way to many variables for a specific answer. Yes, the center pod does help lessen/eliminate porpoising. However, the Awesome hull design in both the 26 and 31 can have the characteristics of porpoising. Since both boats did not come from Awesome with a center tab, only outdrive trim and throttle position would be the drivers only controls. Wind, chop, boat weight bias,---------you get the picture. So many things contribute to this situation. Even prop selection has control or lack of. Bottom line, I will take the cat hull design minus the center pod. Look at a Skater, MTI, NorTech, Spectra. More straight line speed and I am NOT planning on turning at more then 60 mph.

wondering if anyone else has, or has seen a 26 awesome with a center pod ? trying to find out if there is any others ? or mine is a one off that someone added later to the boat

What year is your 26 awesome? I have a 98 26awecome no pod, i think 96 and older have center pod.

Anybody know about a 30ft Awesome Thundercat with 3-2.4 outboards :eek: Built in 92

I just bought it :D & its in great shape.

Want to put 3 2.5 efi offshores or 300 promax :rolleyes:
Anybody have any idea of the speed it ran or should run :rolleyes:

it's a 1995, someone else also told me that they may have had centerpods before 96 . thanks

My 1993 does NOT have a center pod. It is a 26' with twin outboards.....
