Gary, I have my doors with the frames removed from the boat. I will measure and confirm your dimensions. I would be interested in the billet aluminum door frames only. You can try emailing me the pics and I can post on here.

ViciousOne 01-13-2010 08:54 AM

I built all are aluminum frames one off in the shop and a guy at the end of production drive behind the old shop bent all the lid's and cut all the double hinge bi-fold doors out of king star board. The billet doors sound killer I would think about cutting up and into the deck and putting a lid on it to make it easier to get in the cabin. Thats what I did on all mine except for the first one.

Ran-Dom 32 01-18-2010 02:57 PM

Wow, you really gained a ton of cockpit room by moving the bulkhead back, that;s looks great, I wish had more room between the bench & bolsters, that s the #1 complaint I get from HQ, I looks like you added more hull supports in the cabin area as well?

feline frenzy 01-18-2010 06:23 PM

That i did they will be removable cushions for storage.can't have enough.as for floor space you can throw a party now.I had add room as I have small kids.in the other sponson is a bathroom for the ladies.and I'm gonna have a short windshield made.it may not be thefastest cat but I'm hoping it'll be the sexiest.I got a ton of bling and so far my weight has been kept as light as I can.

AO31 01-18-2010 07:34 PM

Nice work! Looks like you've been having fun with it.

Ran-Dom 32 01-18-2010 07:38 PM

nice work, keep posting pics of your progress

feline frenzy 01-18-2010 07:45 PM

Will do.only 70 days till launch too bad I wont be ready :angry-smiley-038:

feline frenzy 01-18-2010 07:51 PM

Random is your boat in storage?I really need to actually crawl in one that's done I need to see what hatch hinges were used and a few other tid bits.

ROTAX454 01-19-2010 08:37 PM

Gary, Check out these door entry units. The min. thickness shown is .31" Using the .25" doors that we spoke about, you could make a spacer to fit between the two assemblies. I prefer a handle unit for a door opener. Had a knob previously and hated them.

Gary, I noticed too what Randy pointed out. Looks like you are adding the "ladies room" on the port side. On the starboard side between the tunnel and the hull side, looks like two additional mini-bulkheads were added aft of the forward main bulkhead. Correct? Love that extra area in the cockpit. One word: PARTYTIME

feline frenzy 01-22-2010 06:11 AM

Richard, you're correct on bulkheads, the small ones will have removeable cushions for storage.in front of main bulk their is another full width bulkhead and small ones in each sponson tips.aft bulk behind bench is doubled up.don't want any issues I've read abouta.those I owe credit to Sparky for.too bad he's so far away now.and on the door handles they're 90 bucks a piece.and non returnable.they are chrome, locking, and in Troy, mi.call me when you can,you also Jeff and anyone else interested in doors.the more we get the cheaper the cost.

STV92 01-25-2010 10:57 AM

e-mail sent to you :drink:

ViciousOne 03-12-2010 02:37 PM

Diid you do the doors with the lift up top lids like I did on my boats ?

feline frenzy 03-19-2010 02:27 PM

No Sparky.the majority spoke and staying like they were so their a direct replacement.to everyone else I sloped my brother in law and the cad will be done next week than ill have prices.the handles alone. Are 250 ish so.the billett I can get at cost so stay tuned.

ViciousOne 03-19-2010 04:44 PM

Thats nice that they are a direct replacement, most people dont like cutting and wacking on there boats.

feline frenzy 03-20-2010 10:49 AM

new doors

ok folks,i got a new direction.screw my brother-in-law,i contacted dan at wayneearl.com,sent him my pics, measurments and cad drawings,he came up with 2 different prices, for mine they will be 800.00 but i already have the mobela latch's,they will be made outta acrylic and have windows cut in them with my anarchy A engraved in window, the mobela offshore latch's run 200.00,you can make them less fancy or make them outta starboard for a hundred or more less than mine, but with acrylic it can be painted and it comes in more colors.hope this helps.here is dans number,714-577-0632 or go to wayneearl.com:drink:
