Another 31 Awesome owner is James Beard. He had a fuel tank leak and may be of some help in fuel tank removal and installation. Here is the thread that he posted on. Good guy and very knowledgeable.

WOW 205 gallon tanks!!! Betcha with full tanks that added some weight. 66 gallon tank will put you right in the ballpark with the AO and Awesome's. Here is the rear location of my tank. Rear portion of the tank is about 8-10 inches within the engine compartment beyond the rear bulkhead.
Your bulkhead is different place.
How many inches tank is from boat rear wall (from top end/where drives go out) ?

Few things has happened..
Outside doors are done but not in place, those put in place
when other jobs in cabin has done..
Also O2 bungs are welded. That was quite challenge when
this is first time ever for using the MIG welder. Pipes are douple
layer so they need first weld together.. All done when pipes are
in own places.
Next job is repair the fuel tanks.
Deside to coated the old ones from inside with vinyl ester resin and with 2-3 glass layers.
Vinyl ester is also standardized for ethanol, maybe in the future tune the engines for E85..
Change old "white" vinyl's in cockpit area to carbon look ones.

Boat is a platform for unstoppable need to tune, build up,
take it to pieces and put it back again..
Uppdates...
- PLX O2 gauges are in place
- Gas tank laminating are in progress, that is one big job
Still too cold for boating.. but wheather goes better.
Need to get it ready and in water to end of month..
