I don't have any gps numbers but I know its faster than the mirage was, and it seems like less porpoising. Not sure how much difference there is between the 6.2 and the 454.

What is your Drive ratio? My buddy who I got the 22p Bravo1 4-blade from said his 454 wouldn't turn full WOT with it...

I assume it's a 1.5 but not 100% sure, I will take a peak the next time I pull it out of the water.

Your speeds are right in the same area with a fellow boater Steve with the same boat and engine, only he is running mirage + 23. light loads he finds 59-60 MPH at WOT. Normal weekend load, 54-55 MPH

Abs777 08-18-2014 09:20 AM

Do you ever use your trim tabs? I keep mine all the way up, unless the load is unbalanced and I need them to even it out.

jetskidrewski 08-18-2014 10:03 PM

Abs777 - I don't have trim tabs on my 232.

92nsx - I was really hoping to get consistent 60 out of the boat. Are his GPS speeds, I wonder how his midrange speeds compare? I have another 4-blade to try, Michigan wheel Apollo. Much smaller prop should have numbers this weekend. Also going to try a 21P & 23P Mirage + when I find a buddy with one to borrow.

Well ran the Apollo, it was pretty good. Nice hole shot and didn't blow out as bad in turns as expected. However still only getting 57ish out of GPS with two people and full of fuel.

Also ran the new-to-me 23P Mirage +. Too much prop for the 6.2, lost about 300-400 RPMs and topped out at 54-55 MPH. Was with two people and a full tank of fuel. Also time to plane was reduced. So I'm thinking a labbed 23P or 21P Mirage + is the way to go...

I have a 23P Mirage + for sale. With a stock(Well, upgraded exhaust) 330 HP 454 I have a consistant 62 MPH GPS reading with this prop. 1997 232.
$225.00 shipped to your door.

Hi kreed - thanks for the offer, but that's the prop I just purchased, I might consider having mine labbed. Your extra 10 hp must be just enough.
