baja transom angle
I'm ordering cmi etops for my 2000 baja 272 because my lightning headers are going to have reversion with my new cam,does any know the transom angle of a 272? I think its 12 degrees but i don't have a good way to measure it,thanks,Smitty

Why do you need to know the transom angle? The transom should always be 13 degrees from the engine no matter what the transom angle to the boat bottom. Boat companies can vary the transom angle to get slightly more or less trim under. When the engine is bolted down and you raise or lower the front to get the alignment bar in you are setting the engine angle to the transom. The engine isn't necessarily level with the boat bottom.

you could put the headers on then make a cardboard jig send it to them fool proof :cool:
