I'm a fan of only two bolsters as well. Just not into the school bus look. I don't recall, were those engines staggard?? I've always loved a large deck with staggard's engines. Remember in 1998, the 36 came with a staggard option. Really cool.

nope the engines arent staggered.
that'd be way cool if they were though!

The motors on the 40 are staggered. There was a magazine on board at Tickfaw 200 with a GPS and a GPS speedo. They all read 101.2 before it broke a belt. Sorry to see it have a dumb problem, but talked to everyone on the boat and saw the GPS recalls. Baja rep was a good guy to talk to. He could tell the year of boat by looking at the graphics and knew where most of them came from. What a job.

Ahhh, my bad. I thought it had three bolsters along the back...I still like all the bolsters. But would prefer three along the back.

HT, I've heard more rumors about Baja messing with some stepped bottom plans again. Can anyone say "Spyderman"??? :D You know anything about this?

The best pictures I have seen of the boat were in the last issue of Baja Magazine.

It is beautiful.

I hope that is correct, 101 MPH.

I do not know any of this to be fact, just what I hearing around that others have heard around, etc.

Got to give Baja credit for trying something like this. I know it was VERY expensive.

As for stepped bottom's, I would be very surprised to see anything out from them with steps.

Just checking some Miami boat show pictures that I could zoom in on and "YES" you are right. They are Staggered.

The starboard engine is back and the port engine is forward.

A.J. at Hawkeye told me he was getting it.

It's suppose to be at the Hawkeye poker
run next weekend.
I'm hoping to "whore" a ride on it.

If that happens, I'll fill you all in :D :drink:

Well, let's just say Gene was the best set-up guy Baja ever had.
The fastest boats to ever come out of Baja were setup by Gene, Baja did really well on the race circuit when Weeks was racing for 'em. Quite a few 1st and 2nd finishes in F-2.
