35 Outlaw test in Motor Boating

The 35OL is tested in this months Motorboating Mag. They love it. Some specs... tested with 375 HP mags Top speed 72.3. Says the boat feels like a 40. Price 161K.

Side bar on the poker run. This boat will be offered as special order. With 525's -$300K- 92mph - lots of carbon fiber,
6100 lbs. They said they shaved 1100lbs over stock hull.
No galley or head in poker run boat. Longer bench seats.
Billett shifters and steering wheel.

300K for 35ft Poker Run with 525's ....................WOW thats a big ticket. Who the hell is going to pay for that? Cost-benift is just not there to double the price of the boat.

I Could see a 35 with 525's for 190-200 but 300K no way. If that is truly the cost then I would be surprised if they sell 1.

Sorry to sound so negative but that price just blows my mind. I could not imagine anyone paying that much for that package. I hope the cost is much lower than that.

That is not the information or price I was given a couple of months ago?

I was asked NOT to put any numbers online, but the dealer cost upgrade to carbon fiber was much lower then I even thought it would be and the other options would not have been that much.

Doing the math with 525's and carbon fiber and I come up to $225K MAX.

I don't think they can sell the boat for more then that in my opinion. At $300K people will go to other brands.

Dock,
I thought that was high also, but that is the "price as tested" in the article. I am sure that is the M.S.R.P. that Baja quoted the magazine, although the $161k figure for the base model seems about right for a 35 with 35 aniv. edition pkg. The pics are of the red one with silver flames. I am assuming this is the boat that is on the Baja website. The pic of the poker run boat they tested is the yellow one with the cool engine hatch.
I like these boats alot and as I am trying to move up into a 35 or 36 this was a eye opener on the pricing. I may just try to find a leftover 36 as I love my 33's styling.

Holy sh*t, $300k is higher than a Giraffe's a$$.
Yea, like a Cigarette.
The upgrade to 525's on ITS boxes and XR drives should add about $35,000 to the sticker.
$300 with 600's sounds right.

It should be the original RED one with silver flames and 496 Mag Ho's. Do you have the magazine? Scan some pics if you can, Ive never even read a copy of Motorboating. I took the guy out on that 35 in St Pete.

I will try to scan the article in later if I can figure out how. I thought that particular boat had the HO's but the magazine article say's it was the 375 HP mags.
