How is the Possoum Kingdom run? I see that Ski Dock has quite a few TX runs. I'm thinking about the PK run also.

Re: Date Set For Spring Baja Poker Run

the pk run was good also.last year was the first one,and there was a decent turnout.the week before the run there was a big rain up north and it trashed the lake with muddy water.usually the water is crystal clear.we do alot of boating at pk and we love it.

I wished I would have made that one. Cant remember why i didnt go.

Lake Travis is LOW right now. its at 663, full is 681, and no rain in the forecast. If we have a dry winter, bring a spare set of props. :(

If it is super low I'm not comming. We need rain in a bad way around here too! They really need it in MO and OK. The lakes in the eastern corner of OK are at record lows & the lakes in southwestern Mo are in the same way.
I'm doing my part by peeing outdoors but I can only do so much. :drink:

It usually rains during the winter, and they dont release as much downstream to the rice farmers during the winter, so usually it comes back up. If it holds steady or comes up 5-10' it will be fine.

Dont be scared :D :D

Not scared, just not wanting to deal with crappy launch ramp conditions. But what do I know about the lake. Never heard of it till a few weeks ago. :D

There is 1 ramp, mansfield dam, which is where you will probably launch that is always good. It goes down to 630 (another 35 feet down) you will be all good.

true, but if you dont know the lake when its low, you might find the low spots accidently. at 663 its not bad, but 10 feet lower and it gets nasty.

Re: Date Set For Spring Baja Poker Run

jason,i will see if i can find his new number.i put 4 24 inch strips.two under the air intakes on the sides and two in the aft vents by the swim plat form.i have 3-three cluster sets under the back seat.we put a 3 cluster set under each bolster.i replaced the factory courtesy lights with led's.i also put some under the drivers foot-rest,shining on the floor.hell we even put a aqua one in the fresh water sink behind the port bolster.have some shining on the motors as well.i wish i had some blue motors like you.all of the lights are blue, except for the sink one.all of the led's are on one switch and don't even draw 1 amp..

Actually, Travis is a pretty safe lake to navigate even if you have not been there before! The main channel is very well marked and as long as you follow it or stay to the cliff side of the lake there are not many surprises reguardless of how low it gets! They also mark most all of the problem obstuctions. You just can't take all the short cuts that we are use to taking when it is full! I have never had a problem and I have been out there when it was VERY low!!
