I've seen the bottom of the boat. It is complete, but he has not tried it yet. Hopefully next weekend we can go and get mine and his boat. |

Re: Hey Dock!!
Hey guys, just got back from Miami or I would have posted sooner.
Jeff and I went down a couple of weeks ago and the bottom looked great. It was actually very true but it did have a hook right at the transom approximately 1/4 inch. According to Dave Turner at T & T Fiberglass in Jacksonville that is a pretty good size hook. He did a GREAT job of removing the hook and truing the hull. He repaired a strake on the starboard side that I had never noticed a problem with, but looks like it may have been a defect from the factory. A 1/4 inch hook will definately pull the bow down. I hope to have the boat in the water next weekend. The engines are back in and it is almost ready to go! Will keep you all posted. Dock |

"Two nights at Mango's makes a hard man humble". Good show, not the best I have seen, but good, then the OSO/FPC party at Clevelander, then the NorTech party at the Delano and a couple stops at Mango's. We missed the Poker Run America and the Cig party's this year. There is just too much to do in a short time. We had a lot of folks with us that wanted to take South Beach in this year. |
Re: Hey Dock!!
Dock, did your guy grind or fill the hook at the transom? I'm researching for mine.

He puts a graphite power on the hull and runs a straight edge over it to find the high and low spots. It took about three attempts to really get it flat & straight. I have been told by several that you always want to "FILL" or add material. |
Re: Hey Dock!!
How far foward did the fill go? Filling seems to me to not be right/correct. I would think you would have to fill a long way foward to get it following the rest of the bottom.
