I POSTED IN MY BANG THREAD A LITTLE, WELL WITH THE NEW 380S K PLANES IT GOT ON PLANE FINE, AT 4000 RPM I HIT 64MPH , THEN LATER IN THE DAY I BROKE A STUD AT THE POSI LOCK :mad: JUST FOUND OUT TODAY I HAD PLENTY OF BOW LIT THIS IS THE OL 240. SO IF EVERY ELSE IS ALL RIGHT GOING BACK OUT SAT FOR TOP SPEED, THE PICK UP WAS WILD, LIKE BEING AT THE DRAGS :D

If your running comp magnum rocker arms throw the posi locks away that come with them,they are junk and prone to breakage,Smitty

You Are Right This Is The Second Time It's Happed 1st Was With The 585hp Motor In 96 This Motor The650hp Was Built In 2000 But Has Like 50hrs Didn't Run In 2003 Or 2004 1 Run Last Yr For 2 Hours. So I Think I Will Change Bearings This Fall, Springs, Head Work,rockers To The Ke Ones From Cp For $289. Well I Will Be Out Sat And Post More On The 2'' Shortie Oh In 96 The Posi Lock Backed Off This Time It Snaped Off At The Stud Sorry For The Caps Its 6.15am Getting Ready To Beat The Heat Get The Header Back On Firer It Up About 9am. Art

Ran boat yesterday for the first time since installing the 1" drive spacer (which returned propshaft centerline to hull dimension back to about 7 1/2 or 8"). Boat once again will air out bow and ride normal. Seems to actually cruise better at 4000 rpm's then it did before the stellings box.porpoising and cavitation seems to be gone. Will get some top end gps numbers and see how it handles in rough water soon and post,Smitty
