Best mods and prop for a 496
 

I cant quite spend the money on a $3,500 exhaust system. What's the best way to get more power or a few mph out of a 496 mag in an 05 25 Outlaw?

Also, what's the best prop for this boat? I've got a Mach 24P 4-blade on it now. The boat is a little slower, but it rides better. I'm getting 4,800 rpm at WOT.

cant you upgrade the ECM, cam, and throttle body for under $2000? These are all the parts that make the 496mag into the HO.

get an HO ECM , a Raylar BCK 103 Cam , a pair Raylar aluminium heads and pull out the turbulators from the stock exhaust and you will have about 500 HP for about 5 K
thats a gain of 125 HP or 40 $ / HP
You will also get about 100 pounds less weight

What is the turbulators and how do they come out, also does the HO have them?

Where's a good place for this stuff? What about re-programming the ECU?
