Rat, your ish is lookin' tight bro! Glad to see you got the pics worked out. I heard a few commenting on how well the Baja handled the water that day (big swell). Great job!

By the way, the whole video can be purchased through Chris Prouty (Schweeng on oso). It's worth the 15 bucks or whatever he's charging to get a copy. EVERYONE has nice air time. Rollers were 4-6's and we ran directly into them.

Recieved the DVD today and watched. Nice run you had. What speeds were you running and where would you estimate the drive trm was? Boat handled the seas well!!!!:drink:

I did notice the swim platform was being fogged with water. Just wondering if that was the trim setting.

Nice driving!!!!!

Great overall DVD! Lots of Cigs.

My speed averaged 70MPH. At the start I was only doing 65MPH. I was also able to hit 75MPH for short bursts. First time in the ocean. The saes as reported by the weather report on that day was 1'-2' wind chop and 5'-6' swells. I wish I had pics of a run behind the break water. I was able to hit 82MPH full tank of gas and 4 adults. My trim was set to 4-5 and tabs at 7. I too noticed the transom being floged with water. It was probably caused by either the Latham drive showers or the after market tips. I got rid of the Corsa muffled tips.

My noramal work hours are 2pm - 10pm. But at least twice a week I am "orderd over" mandatory OT so I end up working 2pm - 6AM. So the days I am not held over I come on the computer to wind down. Its hard to fall asleep when your used to being up all night.

As for the issues with Baja, everything is working except Baja has yet to send my mechanic a diagram on how to take part the cabin head liner. the last Baja dealer yanked on it and now it hangs down on the starboard side approx 5" long. The boat is "Bad Ass" just not happy with Baja's customer service. There warranty procedure sucks and they are slow to pay for the warranty work. I feel the only reason I got as much done was because my friend who owns his shop was willing to keep my boat at his place and keep on Baja. It took a whole month to get an OK for the work. Now I know why 2 baja dealers gave up and sent me away.

Qaulity is the best I can get. The quality even direct to the TV from the camera was OK. Brand new Mini DV with new tape. I had it set to SP and not EP. Trying tocature good quality video.
My bro in law did the filming from a helo in Islamarda(keys) It cost 100.00 to take him for 15 min. 10 min filiming and 5 min to and from location. Great deal I say.

Hey Dennis, thanks for the compliments. Yea, I remember selling the prop to you. Hope it worked out back then (I have a set of brand new 4blade mercs now if you need:D ).

Your boat looks great! Nice video.

:D That one didn't hurt. It was the one a few moments after that we launched and slammed into the next swell. Caused the motors to sputter as all the fuel drained out of the carbs! You can see it on the video. Everyones heads drops down almost out of site from impact.

Re: SCOPE Video Run

I would like to see that. Great pics and I am glad that you can smile about them. It's fun so long as the people and the boat come out ok!

I launched mine really hard about 2 years ago, while I was in a turn, I hit a roller that I didn't see on a dead flat day. We landed on the side of the hull at about 70 mph and the drives and tabs were all the way up. The boat hopped and porpoised about 3 more times before I got it backed down. How I kept it from rolling is beyond me.

Its funny now but it scared the chit out of me at the time.

Gotta say it as well Tank, that one shot is pretty radical... It ranks in the top 3 out of all the video stills from that day.

Does anybody know whats up with the SCOPE page?

Thanks Rick....It wasn't as bad as it looked though. I guess I got a little excited for the helicopter:D You can see in the begining of my run I"m flying semi level. I loosened it up to get some good air for the heli:rolleyes: I went a little overboard:D

Nort will know what's up with the SCOPE site. I'm sure he's working on it.

This shot look familiar??

Although I got a few decent air shots, I was hoping for a spactacular one. It looks like I should have lossened up a little more than I did...

Oh well. I guess practice makes perfect. :evilb:
