Imco extreme drives & boxes mounted
1 Attachment(s)
They look sooooo sexy on the 29. I'm not even close yet, but had to get them stabbed in, just to see what it will look like.
The drives are Imco Extreme 3" shorties on Imco 12" neutral boxes. Don't mind that Nebraska hat. I was just using it as a grease rag.:evilb: |
That does look good. Let us know your gains when your finished.
|
Looking good buddy, you have got to be stoked at this point.
The prop shaft does not look has high as I was expecting. I hope it all works like a charm. Nice grease rag also!:evilb: |
dude that thing is going to haul a$$
|
Brett @ bblades says it'll spin a 30" Maximus on 1.36 gears. Math works out to 96 mph. He said we can get there, but it'll cost more money to make the propellers "right".
I don't know right now. I'd just like to get it done. |
Jason, that looks sweeeet. Can't wait to see the finished product. :evilb:

Looks great Jason. It looks like you'll be smoking me at the poker run this year.
|
That is bad azz. So are the speed numbers you'll be posting.
|
Looks sweet. Gonna be one of coolest 29's out there when you're done.
|
Looks Great!

You're my (boat) hero! :D Can't wait to see how she performs. I may have to do the same to mine at some point. :drink:

Question. I have a 29 OL. When running 78 or so. Trimmed up with 4 blades it seems my stern is up out of the water and kinda dancing. I dont mean chine walk tilting left / right . The front(bow) seems planted but the stern seems up and dancing ...running off the drives. I am triimed up attempting for max RPM/speed.
So with the whippees and running bigger pitch for speed. What will the result be? Am I just trying to run to much trim for a 29 FT boat. They seem a$$ heavy to begin with due to twins and in reality size. A 33OL site somewaht higher than a 29OL. I hope I am explaining my question right. Just wondering at more than 85mph how the 29 will react? |

Not trying to bust your balls jason, but man 95 seems optimistic. A hp500 29 runs 82ish. I guess i would have thought it to be a high 80 mph boat. (fast as hell nontheless) I am very curious to see the outcome. remember to be careful. I dont know if anyone knows how a 29 will handle at those speeds |

Should have built a set of 582's with a mild blower. 850lbs of torque. You could run that thing at over 100. Wouldn't that be scary.

Very nice setup, looks great. It might have been answered in another thread, but what kind of power are you running. Just curious. Good luck with it. |
