Low coolant in tank

Just uncovered the boat in anticipation of spring tune up. When I removed the cover from the drives I noticed a little bit of pink fluid. When I opened the hatch, port side coolant tank was very low. The engine was apparently properly winterized. Leak? Any idea? Should I be concerned. They are 496HO's. TIA.

Check the rubber seal between the heat exchanger and the crossover (left hand side if facing the motor). My port motor leaked just a very small amount (3" diameter puddle at most) over winter. I've ran it several times with no leaks since but I'll still be ordering new seals as it's a cheap and easy fix (at least in my case).

Do a search in the General Q&A technical area for 496 Coolant Leak and you'll find some good info. Here are a couple of links:

Hope that helps,

Thank you so much for the post. The links were quite informative and I'm very relieved to hear of the relatively simple fix.
