Just to confirm, you ordered the blank panels from Baja?

Ed,

Actually the dealer ordered the blank dash panel and did all the cutting and re-wiriing of the gauges. Took forever to get, and cost an arm and a leg, but I like the stock look and you can't beat having it directly in front of your line-of-sight.

Pic of the new dash from over the weekend. Worked out great. The only thing I gave up was the speedo and one voltage gauge. Its a common electrical system anyway so I really only needed one. SO nice to have the GPS in the dash. The Garmin 545 is fast and great detail. I picked up a factory refurb and flush kit for like $700!

Why not buy some sheet stock aluminum and make your own. Use the old one as a template. After you have figured out and cut where everything will go, powder coat it or have it covered in a cool theme etc.

Team Marine will cut one any way you want it cut. They have the patterns for Bajas too.

I just want to let you know that the gauge panel shape changed around 2002 to the same shape used on the 33 Outlaw. I do not think we ever had a layout for the older panel, before GPS units, and smartcraft really got popular.

Dean @ Checkmate was using Team Marine also, and said they are now belly-up? Smitty's idea may be your best bet?

TEAMBAJA has some older 36 panels, but they all have gauge holes punched in them.

I have two 33 Outlaw panels that are new, one purple powdercoat, the other factory carbon-fiber. Also one I think for a 342 carbon fiber. All are new, just didn't use.
If anyone has an interest I will post some pics after the LC poker run.

Just buy 3/16 sheet carbon fiber from Dragonplate trace your current dash outline, cut it then router the holes yourself with a dremel. I did mine in about six hours complete install. You can get pre treated carbon fiber with UV protectant or, I painted mine with clear spray polyurathane and it looks great. Get the 8 or 10 inch Garmin they look fantastic and you can hook a DVD player to them and play DVDs atnytime you want with the player hooked to the stereo for sound.
