I am looking at a 1999OL , they owner says it is twin 454 mags, but the fotos show carb motors,, did they make them carb in 99?

Ok, I got it fiquered out, talked to the first owner, he put on edlebrock marine aluminum heads, MSD, carbs, cam, closed cooling. eddie marine exhaust. Sounds like a problem ready to happen. Might be a good combo, but I am leary when its not stock.

I wouldn't be afraid of it IF I had a good build list of what it was & what it is now. The foundation is what you need to be concerned with. Was it a Mag motor or was it just a 454? That will be the difference in cast internals & forged internals.
What would concern me more than anything on the boat you are looking at would be why the boat only has single ram hyd steering. That alone would make me question what else might have been scrimped on.

Bone stock 7.4MPI's with low hours would be a better way to go! :D:D:D
