Put a price on my boat.

I know what I have in it, but what is it worth? I know that that is a loaded question, but let's have it.
Here are the highlights. Pics in sig. link.
1999 Baja 29 Outlaw SST
650hp Whippled 454 MPI's - aluminum heads, custom cams.
Imco Extreme 3" polished shorty drives
Imco full hyd steering
Imco 12" Stand off boxes
380 K-planes
Heritage 3 axle trailer w/brakes on all 3 axles.
Labbed propellers.

With or without Dallas????:D:D:D

BajaFresh 09-19-2007 05:02 PM

I'll trade you for a low hour, mint condition, all stock 29 Outlaw. Sure, it's slower but it'll get better gas mileage and it's super reliable. :D:D:D

It's a tough question, trying to guess a value. Looking around, I'd say my boat is $50K to $60K. With your mods, it would seem to be worth $70K to $80K but you are getting into 36 Outlaw pricing. You are definately going to have to find the right guy for that boat. They will have to be limited in size (by available storage, tow vehicle, etc), want to go real fast, and want a Baja. There are a lot of other brand boats out there in that price range and that will make it tough. At any rate, I'd wait until spring when the market is back unless you really need the $ now. I think your boat is one that has to be seen (and heard) to be appreciated.

jeff1000man 09-19-2007 05:19 PM

I'll sell you your old heads back and you can turn it back stock.
:violent-smiley-045:

Are you bringing that boat to Conroe in 2 weeks?

Sure am. You gonna be there too?
Just so we're all clear here. I'm not really wanting to sell my boat, I'm just wondering if I'm thinking logically or emotionally on price.

I live on Lake Conroe. Park my boat behind the house sometimes. There will be a lot of us out that day I think.

how are the 3 '' shorties working out polished, I just got my replacement drive a x and a polished 2'' shortie, since the old new one got stolen off the boat this yr. so to feel better I went polished is it a pain to keep it bright and clean, or do you just wipe it down. I won't have mine on until next spring still replacing the stolen parts:mad::mad::violent-smiley-045:. what speed are you getting and 80,000 sounds about right. art

JasonSmith 09-20-2007 08:37 AM

The polished drives last about a day in the water, but that is what a buffer is for.
They look good going down the road all shined up & pretty.

BDiggity 09-20-2007 12:23 PM

Set the price at $1000 for every 1 mph it will run.

Does that work for all Baja's? I'll take $500 for every mph!

I waxed them, but it only lasts about one time also. The absolute best thing I've found to use for my tips & the drives to keep them 1/2 way polished is Stoner Products BeadMax aerosol wax.
I used it on my tips before I went to LOTO for the Shootout & have used the boat quite a few times since & they are still spot free & looking good.

Put a price on it???

Yeah right, you are like me. You cannot sell it!

How's she running buddy?

Do you have a trip planned this way in about a month? I should have the big power in soon and you need to go for a ride.

I'd like to say it is running good, but for whatever reason one of my brand new starters took a crap today. Needless to say I spent another day a$$ up in the boat.
I'm about ready to give up all togather with boating & take up something else.
I think I may be out that way next month. I'll let you know.

Just went through this with a customer.

He has a 99 29 OUTLAW and wants a new boat,,, they said he has to list his boat at $38,500 for them to give him the new loan.

.

You need to teach Dallas how to do that and you can supervise. It would be a prettier picture!:evilb:

Jason,
Why don't you just buy Docks complete 500's put your puffers on them and go for it. Either that or just ride with Barb and I--it sure will stop a lot of aggravation and harrasment. It might be cheaper too :D:D
Jay

obnoxus 05-04-2008 08:09 PM

Meaning that what the banks are valuing the boat.

Just to give him an idea of what potential buyers will be abloe to get financing for
