496ho with CMI exhaust???????
 

i'm looking for someone that knows well 496ho engine eventually with CMI exhausts(are they really so good how factory says???? )....because i would like to put two of them on by powerboat!!!

Is a good engine,with a good sound?or is better the old 502 or 500 efi???????????

In my opinion that is one of the best upgrades you can do to the 496HO. I have three friends that have done it and they all moved up a prop size and picked up several MPH.

The sound is better with a true header, but a lot also depends on your tail pipes also.

i have the cmıs on my brand new 496 ho s but as i told earlier didnt do too much dock do you think i should have the engine remapped after i instal the cmis and what tips do you advise for the best sound
