2007 scope run

Well all I can say is that the 36 ran better than it ever has. This was my first time running in the ocean on my boat. I had 3 in my crew plus me. I would say an easy total of 900lbs plus a full tank of fuel 235 gallons, 1600lbs and hit 70.2 on the GPS in rough water. Oh, and we were the only Baja out of I think 111 boats. It was sweet. I know they say poker runs are not races but we ran into a few different boats like some fountains, formulas, hallets, scarabs, shockwave, and ran real hard with a Pantara who was getting big air but as the water picked up we were walking on many. This will be an event I attend every year. I will try and post some pics. They took alot of helicopter footage for a video and I think there were 5 up in the air. I could go on and on about this event it was awsome. Great people, sweet boats, beautiful women and great food. It was a perfect weekend.:ernaehrung004:

AWESOME!

The boat always runs better when you are having a really good time.

I cannot wait to see the pictures.

Thanks

Next year there will be a 29 Outlaw running too. We pooled our funds and ran one boat this year.

The Pantera ran hard and pulled us for a while but backed off. We passed the Outerlimits!

I've never been on the run, but I got drunk as hell at the Yard House by the marina.

The Yard House is the hot spot in Long Beach. All the boats were docked right in front. Great food too.

Thanks for the props on our run! I wish we had 235 gallons of fuel on board! Then we wouldn't have had to back off! The fuel gauge started jumping around and the boat started feeling a bit light... I backed down from 5,300 (flat) to 4,000 and we went into Newport for fuel. We put nearly 100 gallons in the boat (110/120 gallon tank)! We only got about 65 mph with the old motor...

Great running with you guys. That was a ton of fun! Hopefully we'll see you out in our ocean again soon!

You've got to put the video up on Youtube!

Later,

Sean

Hey, you're supposed to fill up before you start! :D

Yeah, it sure was fun watching you guys run. Scott and the other two guys onboard had never run in the ocean before so they were kind of blown away by it all! When's the new motor going in? Going to give Tank a call soon and try to put together a SB lunch run. Scott's hooked on the ocean now so we'll have to get him back out there soon.

Hey Al! The old motors already out (this afternoon). So hopefully shaking it down next weekend or the weekend after.

That 525SC is a gas hog at WOT. We figured we were going to have to stop, but we figured we'd stop in HB! I think I need an auxiliary tank, or I suppose I could run at less that full throttle... Nah, I need an auxilary tank!

Oh yah, and I'd love to get up and run in SB. Let me know!

hey there... saw your Baja when i was walking around on the docks.. it looked nice..
the wife and i just came down on Sat AM to hear and watch you guys leave.. Maybe next year i'll put in the 23 in the run, but i don't want to be laughed at due to the size LOL...
When ever you come back out to Long Beach, hit me up and i'll launch the 23 for a bit..
