Who has an Outlaw with stainless rubrail??
I need some comments good or bad. I am doing alot of changes to my 2000 36 Outlaw this winter while in storage. One thing I am thinking about changing is the rubrail. I have the one with a white vinyl insert and I swear I have to clean it every time I go out. If it so as much as touches a piling or pier it gets marked up. I need feedback on the stainless rail as I want to make the conversion. I need to know if you like it and how does it hold up to normal use. Also if someone could give me a few close up shots it would be awesome.
Thanks, Smitty |

new to go fast stuff , old cruiser boy who got tired off going slow. My searay's had stainless rub rails and proved to be durable and looked good for years. Would polish from time to time so they would look like new. Picked up a few scratches over the years but not anything like what i've seen on boats with out stainless. I bought a 442 four months ago and was glad it had stainless rub rails. If not i would of considered changing to stainless ,my 2 cents revvrun 2000 baja 442 with tripples

Our 30 OL has stainless and it holds up well. Does not mark or scratch easily and looks good with a little polish every now and then.

Love mine also

The only time I ever had a problem with my stainless rub rail was when I came in a little too close to the concrete wall in the lock. Scuffed it a little bit. But it definitely holds up better than white vinyl would have.

My 36 has the stainless insert.
If your ever down on the southside of Chicago give me a call if you want to come by the shop and see the difference |
Original stainless rubrail on my 2000 Baja 232 still looks great :D

I just wet-sanded the white vinyl insert on my Scarab. Really quick and it always looked brand new. IMO the white vinyl broke-up the line between the hull and deck far less, and looked better. Stainless seems old school. But that's just my personal opinion.
