what is a boss package?
 

Hi Everyone, i just picked up a yellow (youll see me coming) baja 232 w/a 454 mag. Its my first boat and im fired up about it! unfortunately its winter in chicago and ill have to wait a bit to take it out. Anyways, does anyone know what the boss package consists of on these boats? I seem to have all the boss upgrades but the guy didnt know if it was a boss or not. It has the white windshield, gaffrig gauges, keikhafer controls, drop down bolsters, cockpit carpet, 454 MAG, trim tabs. Is this what the boss package is? every other boss i see advertised has the same equipment on the boat.

I think so. Mine has all that. I don't think it has to have the windscreen. It basically is a sticker package like Z-28 and 442's.

My 1997 38 Special Boss package included wind screen, Boss gauges, specific gel coat graphics, and the interior was specific fabric.

oh ok. i thought it was some kind of accesory package that included all the gauges, etc...i think the package was upwards of 10k from what i have read.

The Z-28 package and Z-24 packages were for motors, brakes and the like though. i think you may have meant like a bullitt package on a mustang which was just a different paint job, seats, gauges, suspension, etc...

Back in 97 the BOss package was a couple of stickers. Same priciple as cars. Give you a few things and slap a sticker package on it.
