Anyone see the new Hammer X in Miami?

Just wondering how it looked, and how close it is to the artist renderings. Also wanted to know if they announced a price there.

I saw it - I thought it looked very much like the renderings. Not sure if they had announced a price or not. They were telling me that it was quick with the HO due to its light weight.

I'll go through my pictures - I know I took one standing level with the rear hatch from behind and probably one from the front.

That would be great.

It's a very nice looking boat.

Greg is during the 100 hour test on it this week that must be completed before it is available to the public. I'll keep you posted as I hear the performance results.

I like the boat and feel it is an improvement in the Baja offering for that size range.

Yeah, it looks pretty cool up front but those rear haunches and drooping rubrail are awful.

ditto

Thanks for posting these Dock. It's nice that they added a V-berth up front. I'll have to reserve judgement on the styling until I see it in the water. I hope it comes in at a good price.

I don't doubt it. I was in an old 21 hammer with 454 mag w/ header and it ran 72 gps and I don't think it ever used any gas. It may only do 76 or so but trust me in that boat it feel like 100+

Sorry Michael... I didn't forget about you. I can't find my camera cord.. took it to Miami and haven't seen it since. Whenever I track it down I have about 100 pics from the show... but by this point I don't think they are much different than everything else posted.

I just spoke to the boyz in Florida and they are towing the "X" back up from the Keys today. They had to do a photo shoot and will be water testing it tomorrow.

They expect 72 to 74 MPH out of it.

They have the bad job of having to run the boat 100 hours in Fort Myers!

I'll keep you posted as they check in.

Is that with a 496 HO?

If you find it, I would still be interested in seeing your pictures.

Sorry I did not ask the price but if I had to guess I would say you are in the ball park.

So am I nuts or was it in Ft. Myers this past weekend? I saw it tied up just past the entrance of Matanzas Pass and then again the next day when it did a loop around the channel, past the Channel Mark and back out past the Coast Guard station.

Full Force 03-04-2008 10:06 PM

I am going with 76 mph..

Prostreeter 03-31-2008 03:24 PM

Has anyone heard since Baja was sold that the Hammer X will be put on the shelf and not produced?

The reason I ask is our Baja dealer told me this over the weekend and would like to know if there is any truth to this.
