Now that I looked at fastboats.com I can tell it's not the same...

Here's an interior shot

The boat for sale

My understanding is there has been 8? boats painted like that. Also the original boat had big power (850's).Finally, wasn't it an 2005?

So I am guessing it is not the same boat.

I'd guess YES!

I want to cry when I see those pics....They destroyed the boat right?

fatdaddy 03-01-2008 09:54 PM

:(

I looked at the ad on there website and it's whowing the boat is a tripple engine. Yet the ad showes twin 496 HO. Need to get it straight.

If I remember correctly the boat was repaired.

duke252 03-02-2008 08:05 AM

How was the boat dropped?

Hard to find more info about this incident

75 with twin 496's. yeah right

Blue by You 03-02-2008 02:32 PM

I heard they were trying to lift the trailer & boat together with a fork lift when it dropped. Obviously the boat transom wasn't strapped down to the trailer.

jonyb 03-02-2008 03:12 PM

If I remember correctly the 40 that was dropped had twin 1075's did'nt it? I've got an engine bay pic somewhere.... The one I posted has twin 496's. What a waste with that power.

Baja_Bigdog 03-02-2008 03:26 PM

That's got to be a typo....it must have tripple 496 HO's....check the helm pic you posted with the three throttles and three shifters.

PremierPOWER 03-02-2008 08:13 PM

even triple 496's seems too weak for a 12k lb boat. twins would just be worthless

Blue by You 03-02-2008 08:25 PM

HO's with those outdrives? I think not, unless the 1050's were swapped out. The boat dropped only has twins.

jonyb 03-02-2008 09:16 PM

This one and the dropped one are different boats.

PremierPOWER 03-02-2008 09:35 PM

Im not talking about the one dropped. The one listed only has one picture and says twin 496's 75mph

There was a thread about the dropped boat when it happened. Fell off the fork lift, hit the trailer and then slammed into the ground. From what I remembered there was some pretty harsh internal damage that was not worth fixing (stringers/bulkhead/etc.) Boat was dropped from pretty high up. Last I heard around the time it happened it was not to be fixed.

But maybe irishtornado is right and it was repaired. I would like to think so. But then again, if it was repaired it'd be talked about whenever it was seen and it would be on the boards from time to time I would htink.. That thing was a MONSTER with the 1075's, 6's and the "school bus" seating. Bad mo-fo!

The 40 Outlaw Poker Run boat that was dropped had Twin 850's, Not 1075's. Baja has not built a 40 outlaw with 1075's to my knowledge.

Yeah that was a very sad day when I broke the news that the boat had been dropped. A good friend was actually there and witnessed it and emailed me the pictures that you all see.

From what I know the boat in the ad is NOT the boat that was dropped.

Keep in mind that all these poker run theam paint jobs have really been copied. If I remember right I think Klayton has been asked to duplicate the Lucky 7's paint five times already.

That looks like a very nice 40 Outlaw and if it is triple 496HO's I think it will see those speeds from what I understand.

If any of you have questions on it call Marc at Fastboats he is a very nice guy to talk with and will shoot straight with you.
