Would like to get in touch with him and see how the boat performs with the 5 blades.

About $20K too high :angry-smiley-038:

It probably has a great cruise speed. Mine likes 5 blades. It will run 85mph @ 4500 rpm with 30" Maximus wheels on it.
I can't spin them any faster than that. I have some Hydromotive P5X - 26's that I am going to try this weekend.
I will report back to you.

Someone's trying to make some money. That boat sold on ebay this past winter for low $60s.

You're still running shorties right? Am wondering how they would do at my deeper X dim.

I like 5 blades. They aren't as fast as 4 blades, but they sure do make my cruise speed get right up there.
Yes, I still run the -3" shortys on boxes.
I know some guys running them on older, non-stepped Cigs & they like them. I can't say how they would work on your boat. I can tell you you will want a smaller pitch than you run now.

Extra cruising speed is what I'm after. Going to borrow a friends 28" four blades to run this weekend hopefully. With the 26" I have now I'm all over the rev limiter on one engine, the other is about 2 or 300 rpm lower. Be interesting to see what happens with a set of balanced props.

I wouldn't say $20,000 to high!!!! Boat prices are like cars, What shape are they in and what options they have......
