2001 25' Baja outlaw question
 

My buddy is looking at a 2001 Baja with a 454 mag (RWC), the add says that the motor is 300hp. How fast of a boat is this? Cruising and top speed? Thanks

No such thing as a 300 hp in '01? The 7.4 efi was 310 hp, 454 mag was 385 hp. The 7.4 would be a dog, would guess top speed in the high 50s.

300hp, probably around 58mph at best conditions, probably a 7.4, 310 hp very hard to sell that boat with that motor, if your friend isn't worried about topend speed, he should be able to pick it up for a great price.:evilb:

so a 454 mag should be 385 horse in 2001? The 300 hp could be coming from a kbb or a nada on the add.

60 mph friend has one.

Maybe on the wishometer with a very light load but on GPS under normal loads the best I have seen out of a 310 boat was mid 50's. That is a lot of boat for 310HP. If it were me I would look for a 385hp boat or at least a 496mag.

Check out the link to my add....got a 2002 25 outlaw with the 496mag HO. Runs top end just shy of 70 on the gps with a light load, 1/4 fuel. thanks to the help i got from this site with propping...it's a whole new boat!!!
