Here you go, to clarify, two were produced by Baja, one at Miami show one was at factory, both are on their way to Fountain right now unless a dealer buys them before they get there. I will be going down maybe next week, if I like it we may pick it up??

Yes they are going into production, a right after the new 278 comes off the line. Right now Fountain is picking colors and such, once we are able to order our boats expect some very radical boats. I am thinking Hammer X whole boat Gel, Silver with Blue graphics, with trim in Lime green:ernaehrung004:

The boat I will most likely be getting will have a Hammer X hull, but a different deck... ;)

The future of this boat depends on dealer reaction at the open house in September. We shall see...

I guess Searay is keeping the lower half and retooled the upper. The colors and graphics are pretty bland also. I think it will be fun to compare the two side by side???:evilb:

Also for what SR charges for a 20'Ski boat, should make the Hammer X by Fountain a steal!!!!!!!!!

Yea, they were always going to share the lower half, but the upper deck was always intended to be different.

As far as graphics, they are not on the boat, as its a prototype undergoing testing and they want to keep a low profile. Dont expect much difference though with the production version if they do build it, which is ok by me; Im not a big graphics guy.

The Hammer X will no doubt be a better value, but the Pachanga is something I have wanted since the 80's. Hopefully SR does not go overboard on markup, if they do indeed build it. It is in the dealers hands in a few weeks to decide its fate...

There will be faster boats, there will be better built boats, there will be less expensive boats; but Im caught up in nostalgia.

If SR gets ridiculous with price, can you do a 23 Outlaw with a black side, white deck, and no color graphics? :drink:

We can do nearly anything, we are not the norm, all our stuff we sit down and want it unique, we want it like we were going to be driving it around. Full hull in black looks wicked, check our 30 OL we designed.

The red and black one is a runner. A little more tweaking could pull a true 80 mph out of it. Here is a GPS speedo shot of it from somewhere in Florida.

Great boat, a little low on the HP side, but with right set up maybe see 65mph. Their is some history behind that boat already, some how a former employee ended up with it???? I am sure they got a smoking deal.

They ended up buying 4 boats, both hammers and 2 - 278s. Ironically we never had a chance to buy one of them, even after asking once a week for several months. :rolleyes:

With the guys that did most of the work on that one, it should be worth even more! :evilb:

Is it a 2000-01 ish? My dads buddy bought one new and I was told it was the only one with a 502. My dad has since retired and lost contact with the guy. Just curious.
