Dock, The show is in Lincoln and we have a 4 terminal Air Port.
I am flattered that you guys would even think to come, I just do not want anyone to be disappointed! We are just a small boat dealer in the middle of NOWHERE! This show is a big deal to me, outside of that it is just somewhere to have a drink Friday or Saturday night:drink: |

Sorry for the comment, the last thing I wanted was to get former and current employees and dealers in an uproar.

So wouldnt the 2 external hinges end up being cheaper in total production cost? I would think the 2+ people labor time to install hidden hinges ends up being higher than the cost of the external solution.

If boat building was more like building automobiles, and one/two people performed the same task 100 times a day, it is easier to prove a savings. If you are just saving a group of guys 10 minutes of hassle, its harder to say that you saved the company a bunch of dollars in labor? XT:cool: |

Excellent observation. However, in the old Baja facility, the production lines only moved as fast as the build time of the slowest built model on that line. At any given time there could be a 250 sportfish on the line with a 342. So in theory, yes the labor would have been reduced, but there was no definitive way to show it on the bottom line. A reduction in the bill of materials went directly to the bottom line.
